In March we reported the cooperation plans of DotRoll and Escalion. That time our domain registration company used a domestic bank for the online card payments of domestic customers; while a foreign IPSP (Internet Payment Service Provider) was involved in the case of foreign customers. In Western Europe and the United States, online payment card acceptance by non-banking providers in IPSP system has been introduced long time ago. The agreement concluded between Escalion and DotRoll Kft in the meantime opened a new dimension in the domestic e-commerce sector: the dependency on external providers has ceased, the first online payment system provided by a non-banking operator has been launched in Hungary, as well!
We asked Zsolt Komáromi, the general manager of DotRoll Kft on the new partner developing and providing the online card payment solution:
“We have chosen Escalion because its multilingual payment page, the optional joint management of forint and euro transactions and its 24 hour payment-related client service provide services of higher level for the clients of DotRoll Kft.”
With the use of a qualified, first class audited security system (Payment Card Industry DSS level 1); Escalion enables the merchants to provide more flexible services. The company generates quick and safe web-based purchase and sale transactions with its real time data processing and sophisticated, in-house developed fraud protection system. Lajos Bernáth, the general manager of Escalion expects fast growth, since the ratio of card payments for goods and services purchased on the internet does not reach 5 per cent contrary to the European average of 80 per cent.
